Campaign to educate kids about wolves a success

By August 25, 2015Recent News

Our Indiegogo campaign has ended, and we surpassed our goal! We received a total of $7,176 to be put toward our effort to educate kids about wolves.

The Gray Wolf Educator Guide is coming to schools!

Teachers in 5,800 K-12 schools in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington and Oregon are now receiving the Gray Wolf Educator Guide. We already heard back from a teacher in Montana who is inspired to use the Guide to teach a unit on wolves this upcoming academic year.

We couldn’t be more thrilled.

With the hope of further increasing public awareness through the voices of young people, we also have plans to reach out on the ground and connect with teachers in Washington. And to celebrate the discovery of a wolf family in California, we are looking into ways to connect with teachers in this state, to educate the next generation and secure a future for wolves in California.

Compassion begins with education.

Thank you to all of you who contributed to this Indiegogo campaign! It is because of you that we are able to introduce the topic of wolves in classrooms across the American West.

If you are a teacher or know of a teacher who might like to introduce the topic of wolves in their classroom, you can download an electronic copy of the Gray Wolf Educator Guide and find other wolf-related resources for teachers, here.
