Legislative assault against wolves continues: Interior Department Appropriations Bill goes back to the Full House Floor tomorrow with riders that could remove ESA protections for wolves

The Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2016 goes back to the Full House floor tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Washington D.C. The bill includes riders to delist wolves from the list of Endangered Species in Wyoming, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota.

Call, email, tweet or contact your representatives via Facebook before 12pm EST tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, 2015.

Niki Tsongas (D-MA) has proposed an amendment to strike anti-ESA riders from the bill. This includes the rider that would remove ESA protections for wolves in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Wyoming. Ask your representative to vote “yes” on the Tsongas amendment to the Interior Appropriations Bill.

Ask your representative to oppose the Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) amendment that would block ESA protections for wolves in Oregon, Utah, Washington. Wolves are beginning to repopulate these states, but the official number of wolves in Utah still stands at zero.

Ask your representative to reject any future attempts to legislatively strip protections from wolves through the Interior Department Appropriations Bill.
