Wolf Wednesday & International Peace Day

By September 21, 2016September 22nd, 2016Recent News

Not only is it #WolfWednesday, but today also marks International Peace Day.

In a perfect world we would like to see wolves coexist with humans and thrive, and although we are making steps in the right direction, there are still many controversies that stunt this progress. When people hunt and trap wolves, packs are often broken up into smaller, dysfunctional groups. Based on our experiences with the Sawtooth Pack, the alpha is frequently the first to investigate disturbances in his territory. Therefore, alphas are also more apt to be killed as “trophy animals.”

Let’s all work together for a more peaceful world, not just for humans but for all species.#InternationalPeaceDay #wolves #wolf #wolfpack #wildlifeconservation
